Terry Fox was a young Canadian π athlete who inspired millions π! In 1977, when he was only 18 years old, doctors diagnosed him with bone cancer π¦΄π. Sadly, his right leg was amputated π¦Ώ, but he refused to give up! Instead of feeling sorry for himself, Terry decided to run πββοΈ across Canada π¨π¦ to raise money π° for cancer research.
In April 1980, he began the Marathon of Hope π. Every day, he ran more than 40 kilometers π€οΈ, even when he felt pain π£. He woke up early β°, put on his prosthetic leg π¦Ώ, and set off on his run. His determination brought hope π to thousands of Canadians, who came out to cheer for him ππ!
